Description

This sight word emergent reader bundle set is all about snow. These sets include sight word books and colored teacher lap books that can be used for whole group instruction, small group instruction, and vocabulary development. These readers and materials were designed with the Pre-K, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten Student in mind. They can be used to teach the knowledge of basic book handling skills, basic sight words, and vocabulary. I use them for guided reading groups, familiar reading, book box books, centers, and take home reading books.

Students can benefit from reading sight word emergent readers by tracking one to one, identifying spaces between words, putting together letters and sounds to make words, reading sight words in context, and reading appropriate grade-level text. The black and white clip art pictures support meaning and also provides opportunities to color the pictures.

ELA. RF.K.1a Follow words from left to right, top to bottom, and page to page.

ELA.RF.K.1b Recognize that spoken words are represented in written language by specific sequences of letters.

ELA.RF.K.1c Understand that words are separated by spaces in print.

ELA.RF.K.3a. Demonstrate basic knowledge of one-to-one letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary or many of more frequent sounds for each consonant.

ELA.RF.K.3c. Read common high-frequency words by sight.

ELA.RF.K.4. Read emergent-reader texts with purpose and understanding.
