Description

This file contains 3 activities students can do if they complete their work early. When I used these activities I laminated these signs and posted them in my room as a reminder of what students could do when they finished their work.

These activities would also be great for substitute teachers. They could be used in a competitive form (who could make the most $ words to get the most money! Or who could find the most words in a word), as a review, during indoor recess, during dismissal, or just when there's a few minutes left in a period.

The activities are:
Words in a Word -- I would choose a content/vocabulary word weekly for this activity.
Dollar Words -- I could ask students to use spelling lists, vocabulary lists, a dictionary, or leave it open and let me decide what words to try.
Expand a Sentence -- I would change the starter sentence once every few days and would "award" students with the chance to create a starter sentence for the class.

Enjoy these activities! I intend on adding more over time and I will send a message out to my buyers when I do! :-)
