This planner packet is designed for a team project. Together as a group, students analyze a picture book. The identify the various parts of the story such as plot and setting as well as conflict, characterization, and theme. Following their group analysis, they design a poster to showcase their learning. They should write a story summary and include such things as a plot pyramid, in addition to any artistic elements.

The goal of this project is to cultivate team collaboration as everyone much participate in the construction of the poster, and to gauge student learning of the elements of literature.
