Description
Alphabet Adventures Letter Rr!!
I am always looking for a fun and simple way to review or introduce letters and sounds to my Kindergarten class. I look forward to sharing this with my students this year. This activity is a perfect whole group or small group activity. Complete the entire presentation in one day or split it up. This is a perfect way to supplement your current reading/phonics instruction.
Each letter has a map with 4 activities. The map slide has links to the other slides in the presentation.
-All About Rr (includes a handwriting example and pictures that have the /r/ sound.
-Letter Sort (sort the capital and lowercase letters into the correct category)
-Sound Search (use the blue circles to find all the pictures that have the /r/ sound.
-Circle Map Rr (use the pictures and letters to complete the circle map. Add to the circle map by drawing using your Smartboard or use the Google image search to add additonal pictures to the map)
Also included is printable handwritng sheets that your students can use to practice writing the letter Rr. I plan to use this while introducing the "All About Rr" slide.
Be on the look out for the rest of the alphabet! I hope you enjoy using these in your classroom as much as I do!
