Description

This alphabet interactive notlebook was designed to alllow students to learn and practice alphabet skills in a composition notebook. The optional covers are if you want your students to track their letters. In my classroom we don’t focus on letters in alphabetical order. I allow them to color the box or use the small incentive stickers to cover as letter is introduced.

Time on task depends on how you choose to use it. Whole group, small group, centers, or even homework.

This notebook allows student to practice alphabet in print, identifying alphabet, and recognizing phonetic sounds. I have included the names in print to increase vocabulary and so that stduents can use the vocabulary in writing with the pages that are unused by this product.

** in my classroom i use interactive composition notebooks from both sides. the original front for Alphabet and then a flip and from the back I use it for a numbers interactive notebook. (This product is in development.)

I created three versions of the alphabet notebook. You can use one version throughout the interactive notebook or you can mix it up.

Option #1 - I can stamp.

This notebook version encourages students to use a variety of alphabet stamps to use as they stamp uppercase and lowercase examples.

Option #2 - I can cut.

This notebook version encourages students to use a variety of environmental print – cereal boxes, newspapers, magazines, etc. as they hunt for uppercase and lowercase examples.

Option #3 - I can rainbow write.

This notebook version encourages students to use a variety of writing utensils (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.) as they write uppercase and lowercase examples.

I hope that you enjoy it.
