Description

Alphabet writing sheets for tracing lowercase letters with correct letter formation support hand writing practice. Write and alphabet trace pages and songs for each of the 26 lowercase letters. This fun and energizing handwriting instruction is for all young writers including general education students, students with disabilities such as autism, ADHD, ADD, or a learning disability!

As a preschool, kindergarten, or first grade teacher you are tasked with the job of not only teaching children what the abcs are and how to write the letters of the alphabet but how to form the letters correctly.

But teaching children the proper way to write is challenging for all involved, so I created catchy songs made up of short, rhyming poems to explain the way each lowercase letter of the alphabet is formed.

Alphabet Trace Pages for Lowercase Letters includes

  • Posters of each alphabet letter
  • A single poster with all 26 abcs (printed on an 8 ½” * 14” page)
  • Printable work pages for each letter (in print and script fonts)
  • Demonstrational writing videos for each letter
  • mp3 audio clips of each alphabet writing song
  • Directions

Each alphabet letter has a short video that shows how to write the letter while the rhyme is sung. The printables include 26 cards of alphabet letters with a solid letter, the words to the rhyme, and a cartoon picture to represent each letter. A traditional script set of printables for your students to practice tracing and writing (one set with handwriting line guides and another without) and the same type of set for italics. I use the practice tracing pages along with posters to make writing journals.

Short letters framed are in red, tall letters are framed in blue and basement letters are framed in green.

These songs have also been used for students with special needs including those with autism, other health impairments, specific learning disabilities, and cognitive disabilities. This set can also be useful for students, families, and teachers to use during distance learning or e-learning days to motivate and reinforce learning.

That’s wonderful! If you still want to use paper, try putting the pages on a hot plate on the lowest setting. Then use crayons to write on top. My students who don’t like writing love the feel of writing like this.
