Description
Our BEST-SELLING item just got better - with a whole new set of farm themed logic puzzles - and this time for younger students!
The ABC=123 Brainteasers are math-based logic puzzles called alphametics. They can be used as daily warm-up exercises, challenge problems, extra credit, gifted enrichment, or as a substitute for in-class work for students who have already mastered the current curricular unit. The problems in this booklet are geared for 3rd and 4th graders.
These 12 math puzzles appear deceptively easy at first glance, but can be very frustrating for students who have not been given some basic problem-solving skills to use. Alphametic problems require a great deal of mathematical reasoning to solve, which is why we've included an extra two puzzles in the packet with hints for how to solve them.
Specially designed for the younger student, this learning packet includes hints for each puzzle to jumpstart the creative solving process. Teachers will also find instructional strategies you can use with your students to ensure feelings of success and satisfaction that comes from solving challenging problems.
