I use this presentation to introduce students to what our rights look like in practice. We examine key court cases for Amendments 2-10 and discuss how these rights are defined today. This is an introduction to civil liberties that will be further refined later in the semester.

At the end, there is a link to practice for students. There is a list of more court cases that students can choose to look up and conduct research on. Directions for completing the writing assignment are included.
