What educators are saying
Description
Students love learning about suspense and what better way to do that than by pairing it with a popular TV show the students already know and love? With this activity, students will be asked to answer basic plot-based questions during the viewing. The viewing guide also includes 13 critical thinking and analysis questions that can be assigned for a Socratic seminar or remote-learning discussion board posts.
After viewing the episode, students will analyze the intention choices made by the writers and how these choices make the episode suspenseful.
The assignment can easily be modified for younger grades but is rigorous enough for higher grades.
This activity works really well as a last-minute spooky season activity.
