Ancient Computer - Video Guide

This is a fun and engaging way to help students learn about the Antikythera mechanism. Great for supplemental material, a sub day, or distance learning.

This video guide was created for the NOVA documentary Ancient Computer. In this documentary, a team of scientists explain their journey that lead to our present understanding of the Antikythera mechanism. It was found at the site of a ship wreck, and after much debate and studying, scientists now believe it to be an ancient computer created by the Greeks to calculate the location of the Moon and planets as well as eclipses.
