Description
Animal Identification and Adaptations PowerPoint Presentation
A really fun, interactive PowerPoint Presentation using photographs of skulls and colourful pictures allowing children to use the clues that are given to guess the kind of animal.
The adaptations of each animal are described for young children to understand. Included in the presentation are opportunities for children to recite what the word “Adaptation” means using a cloze type activity.
Animals include:
- seagull
- bear
- wolf
- shark
- deer
- mink
- beaver
The preview download shows the slides for the seagull.
At the end of the presentation there is a follow up activity. The steps are clearly explained in the preview download. After downloading the PowerPoint Presentation, save as a pdf file and print the final activity page. I’ll happily email the page should you require assistance.
My children had so much fun guessing and learning about the adaptations. We did a bit of drama at the end of the presentation just to reinforce what was learned. The follow up activity allowed for the showing of understanding. Many children went home and did research about a particular kind of animal and its adaptations. They really got it!
