This detailed lesson contains everything you need to teach your students about seasonal changes of animals in different regions with a specific focus on animal adaptations, migration, and hibernation.
This lesson addresses the question: “How can we compare seasonal changes of animals in different regions?” Your students will build formative knowledge about animal adaptations that animals must utilize to survive in their environment, like growing thicker fur or changing their color to adapt to their surroundings. The migratory habits of many animals such as whales, butterflies, birds, caribou and wildebeests are also addressed. This lesson has excellent visuals and various examples for them to learn from and think critically whether they are answering a higher order thinking question from the power point, or they are answering a question from one of the reading articles or the mini quiz.
