Animal Classification for young learners. Use this poster set and PowerPoint to teach students the 6 basic animal groups and animal classification (invertebrates, mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians). Each group has a very basic poster with easy to read text. Print or project onto a screen to help with your teaching of animal classification. Additionally, you can print out the mini-cards to laminate and keep in your writing or science center.

There is a PowerPoint with the posters to make projecting easier. In the PowerPoint file, there is a fun little interactive quiz. Simply read the question, have a student state which animal group each animal belongs to, and then click the animal picture to reveal the correct answer.
