Description
This lesson teaches or reinforces the learning of the basic classification system for the animal kingdom. It is simple enough for advanced students in grades 3-4, but may be best for grades 5 & 6 or for review in grades 7 and above. It includes a worksheet that may be copied and used if desired. This worksheet is available for preview. However if you wish to have the students complete this activity in their own notebooks, it works equally well.

I used this as an intro for my gr6 students. It was a good resource that led to a rich discussion on classification. It is too easy to be used as a stand-alone activity for gr6 students.
This resource is great to use with students!
Thank you
Thanks for the help
A little low level for on level students 5th and above, but would be good for differentiation.
thanks
Great lesson.
Great!
