- This material helps the child classify and organize and knowledge of animals. This is the basis fro research.
- The stories are geared to the needs of the animals of which the child has had first hand experience, so they serve as reinforcement.
- The story card material for animals is given very early in the elementary.
- Each animal should have its own folder. Each folder has the name of the animal on the outside.
- Each folder includes:
- 1 large picture of the animal in its environment.
- 1 large text card with general information about the animal.
- A collection of medium sized pictures relating to the lives of the animals.
- A collection of medium sized text cards.
- A collection of small pictures with what the animal likes to eat.
- Small label with the names of the kinds of food that the animal eats.
