Description
4 pages of note templates, for sending a note home at the end of the day to parents and caregivers. The notes can be used with the Green-Yellow-Red behavior management program in many schools, with 1-2-3 Magic, and with the Apple Behavior Social Story book in my store.
A Green apple note is a good day, Yellow means one warning was given, Orange is two warnings, and Red is three strikes and you're out, and a time out; better day tomorrow. Photocopy the "green apple" template on green copy paper, yellow on yellow, orange on orange, and red on red paper.
The students look forward to receiving their green apple each day, and the facial expressions and color coding really help to give meaning to less-than-green apple behavior. The notes help our youngest students understand the Yes and No of safety, school rules, and appropriate behavior. Parents enjoy collecting the colorful green apple notes especially, and I've had parents and caregivers tell me that they post them on their refrigerators at home for encouragement and recognition.
