A fun way to have students find partners is to have appointment partners. Students fill in their name on their partner's paper and their partner's name on their paper in the same time block. As a teacher, laminating these for the kids is helpful or having a safe space. When time for partner work, call out "find your 3:00 partner" and it's as simple as that! Appointment partners can easily be changed each quarter, month, etc.
