Looking for spring writing activities and journal topics to engage your writers this April? These high-interest and engaging writing prompts are seasonal and relate to what students are experiencing this month and will surely keep motivation high.

Writing genre posters make great anchor charts for your writing bulletin board. Included are models of completed graphic organizers and prompts for each genre for you to share with your students to annotate and analyze. This is a great way to show students how to write to each genre and how to effectively use graphic organizers and rubrics!
