This three steps activity focuses on numbers! you can trace, count, add, and read the numbers from 1 to 10. using sensory materials helps students learn while having fun at the same time. This activity also helps develop fine motor, reading, writing, and number recognition skills.
You and your students can get creative using this product to serve your goal!
What you need :
- Play-dough, Dry-Erase markers, beads, buttons, manipulatives..etc.
Instructions:
- Print out and laminate the numbers.
- Practice reading the number, tracing the number, and building the number with your child. (Rolling out the play dough to form the numbers helps develop the fine-motor skills required for writing, in addition to teaching little ones number formation.)
- Have your students trace the letters with their fingers or dry-erase markers. Then, have them fill in the ten-frame with play dough balls to represent the same number. or they can use other manipulatives such as beads, buttons, stickers,etc.
