I was really looking for an arcade game design unit for my STEM students and found Make Code's Arcade hub. While it has some amazing resources, I really needed some scaffolded coding activities to bring them up to speed. I like using Doodle and Take Notes as an introduction / review of coding terminology for students and to get all on the same page. Then, students complete the tutorial to follow up these doodle and take notes along with a directed variety of others (A variety will help them design and create their own). Students then complete a questionnaire on these and a planner for their own project.
