Description

These arcs and chords & arcs and angles foldables are a great way to get your students to practice and apply these circle theorems! This practice is a LOW PREP way to teach the relationship between central angles, arcs and chords.

This activity includes one foldable with arcs and chords and another with arcs and angles together with 26 practice problems with a mix of skills practice and application problems!

⭐️ Question types ⭐️

Foldable #1

  • Identifying and naming minor arcs, major arcs, and semicircles
  • Solving for measures of central angles and intercepted arcs
  • Using arc addition postulate to arc measures
  • Application problems for above concepts

Foldable #2

  • Solving for arcs & chords (Congruent arcs à congruent chords)
  • Solving when chords are congruent if equidistance from center
  • Radius & Diameter as perpendicular bisectors of chords
  • Using Pythagorean theorem to find radius or segment length
  • Application problems for above concepts.

This was a good resource in my co-taught class. Arc/chord relationships can be difficult, and this resource made the learning easier for many of my students.
