"I love this resource. If you don't have a lot of time to prepare the lessons, this is definitely the course for you. My students were engaged, and some of them found the activities challenging but engaging. "

Description

Arduino lessons with easy to follow diagrams, code, and directions meant for beginners and student learners!

If you have been wanting to bring Arduino microcontrollers and circuits to your classroom but felt like the learning curve was too steep, this guide will make it possible. Lessons start from the very beginning using clear diagrams and directions. Complete code is included for each new idea, and students are challenged to apply their learning at regular intervals. Interspersed in the lessons are maker projects to give students a chance to really use their new skills to produce something exciting such as tin foil piano, a waving Fortune Cat, or a distance sensing wristband. Do a just a few lessons, the ones that work the best for your students, or do them all, the choice is yours.

23 Lessons and 7 Maker Projects in all!

The lessons are meant to begin as teacher directed and very quickly move to student directed with the teacher providing mini-lessons and support as needed. The lessons are meant to be used with teams of two students sharing materials and one copy of this guidebook.

Every lesson has been vetted in my classroom including this current school year and lessons include helpful hints and troubleshooting pointers that are a direct result of feedback from real students. Most of the components come in Arduino kits, however some have been ordered separately online, but all are easily obtained.

Perfect for encouraging all students to read for technical information, but especially ESL learners.

This is a awesome resource for teaching Arduino. My students loved this class so much that I had to develop a second one with more advanced projects.
