Description

A fun area game to help students practice area of a rectangle. Suitable for grades 4-6.

This game is part of the area and perimeter units that can be found in my store:

Grade 5 Area and Perimeter

Grade 6 Area and Perimeter

If you would like to see a free sample of a lesson from this unit, click here: An Introduction to Area and Perimeter

Although these units are based on the New Ontario Curriculum, they meet many expectations from the Common Core:

- Area of rectangles, parallelograms and triangles (through the development of the formula)

- Showing that two dimensional shapes with the same area can have different perimeters

- Area of trapezoids, kites, rhombuses and other composite shapes by decomposing them into known shapes
