Description

Here's a cute area model center you can use to reinforce this concept! Your students match the area model (purple border) to the expression (green border).

There are two sets of cards that have 9 cards each. One set has 2 by 1 expressions and the other set has 3 by 1. You can mix and match them or use them separately. Do what works for you and your students! There is a simple recording sheet if you'd like for your students to solve and find the product for each.

All you have to do is print these on cardstock, laminate (if you prefer), cut them out, and copy the recording sheet.

Here are some other similar products that you can find in my store:
Introduction to Multiplication using Arrays and Repeated Addition
Addition and Subtraction of Larger Numbers with Word Problems
Sports Kids Multiplication and Division Color by Number Fun

I used this for a center for my aide. It's great review and practice of concepts that I've already taught.
