Are you looking for a math task that your kids will enjoy? Using these Area Model Multiplication Task Cards is a great way to have your kids multiply multi-digit numbers. Task cards are less intimidating for students than worksheets and really help students to grasp this very important concept.

These cards are great for 4th grade students, but can be used with higher 3rd grade students or to reinforce this concept with 5th grade students. Either way, you cannot go wrong. These cards are aligned to the Common Core Standard: CCSS.4.NBT.B.5.

There are 24 Task cards included in this pack.

  • Cards 1-12 Contain the area model with the numbers in expanded form.
  • Cards 13-20 Contain the area model but only contain the expression.
  • Cards 21-24 Instructs students to draw the area model to solve the problem.
