Description
So many formula choices in this quick geometry notes flipbook for area, perimeter, and circumference formulas. This reference card set was designed to be functional and easy for students to use. They'll love having all their formulas together in one place.
Use these foldable references in notebooks to keep them handy as students solve area, perimeter, and circumference problems.
~ CHECK OUT THE PREVIEW to see the formula and style choices included! ~
There are 2 options in each of the 3 styles of foldable activities:
- Set A: The first set contains the formulas and the problems worked out and already filled in. Students simply make the foldable flipbook.
- Set B: The second set includes the formulas, but there are blanks for the students to fill in the problems on their own or as a guided lesson for the class.
- Set C: Reference Task Cards with the formulas – these are great to put on a book ring for quick, easy formula reference.
- Set D: This set replaces the rhombus with the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism.
*The completed foldable flipbooks serve as an answer key.
Formulas included:
Set A & B - Option 1:
- Area of Rectangle: A=bh
- Area of Square: A=bh
- Perimeter of Rectangle: P=2(b+w)
- Area of Parallelogram: A=bh
Set A & B - Option 2:
- Area of Rectangle: A=lw
- Area of Square: A=s(squared)
- Perimeter of Rectangle: P=2(l+w)
- Area of Parallelogram: A=bh
Set A & B, Part 2 - Option 1:
- Area of Rhombus: A=bh
- Area of Triangle: A=bh/2
- Circumference of Circle: C=2πr
- Area of Trapezoid: A=1/2 * h(b1+b2)
Set A & B, Part 2 - Option 2:
- Area of Rhombus: A=bh
- Area of Triangle: A=1/2 bh
- Circumference of Circle: C=2πr
- Area of Trapezoid: A=1/2 * h(b1+b2)
How I used this resource in class:
I had students put the foldable flipbooks together and glue them onto paper for their notebooks. You could opt to keep the flipbooks separate, and I've even had students glue the assembled flipbooks back-to-back, with a place for notes in the middle. Students are incredibly creative!
See the preview for some pictures.
