Description
In pairs, I have students solve the problem on each card in the coordinating box on the answer sheet. Each student completes their own answer sheet. They work in pairs to help each other out.
Students will draw a picture of the shape and label the dimensions given in the problem. Then, they will: write the formula they will use to solve, substitute the values and solve. All shapes are rectangles, squares or triangles.
Some ways to use task cards:
Each pair of students can have a set of task cards to work through.
Display task cards around the room to enable students to walk around and move while solving. I allow no more than two pairs of students working on a card at the same time.
Answer key is included!
