Description

Array Memory is a math center to build fluency in recognising arrays, identifying rows and columns, and representing arrays as repeated addition problems, in a competitive way. Students will likely be familiar with the concept of this classic game already. Flipping two cards at a time, and solving problems to identify matches. With two sets of 50 memory cards, the game will stay fun and engaging over several rounds!

Included:

  • A teaching and setup guide
  • Full color instructions for students, including a detailed example to aid with the identification of rows and columns
  • All necessary game pieces to play

You will need:

  • A laminator, to increase longevity of the game pieces

This center was designed to be used with the Big Ideas Math program, Chapter 1.

Teaching Tip:

  • Since a game with 25 pairs of cards may take too long to complete, especially early in the unit, separate out each of the games into one game of 13 pairs and one game of 12 pairs. The answers are conveniently printed adjacent to their respective questions to make this process easier.
