Description

This activity is great for students that have trouble drawing arrays or have difficulty understanding the concept of arrays. Give each student a piece of construction paper to fold in half. Have students cut the heading words at the bottom of this sheet and glue one heading on each section of the construction paper. Next, have students cut out each picture and sort if it is a picture of an array or not. For pictures that are arrays, students can write the multiplication equation next to the picture.

I used this resource with my second grade class, it really helped them to have a better understanding or arrays, and how to identify them and use them in math. The students really enjoyed this activity. The students enjoyed being able to cut and match the arrays together.
