Description

Integrate early reading with early multiplication awareness with our fun penguin array mini reader!

Students can practice fine motor skills cutting, pasting and coloring as well as reading the text.

Students will need to read the text on each page and then cut/glue the matching picture. They will count the ducks to help match.

The text in this reader is as follows:

Page 1. Penguin is ready to play with dots.

Page 2. Penguin has one row of three dots.

Page 3. Penguin has two rows of three dots.

Page 4. Penguin has three rows of three dots.

Page 5. Penguin has nine dots altogether.

The pictures are on a separate worksheet and students can color them, easily cut the rectangle around each picture and paste it into position on the page.

Digital Text

Included is a bonus digital version of the complete text. Use this on your electronic board or computer as a shared or modelled reading with your students, as you would a big book. You can annotate on the text (to explore text features and do word work for example) using the Easel by TpT tools also.

Students can read along with the pages on the board as well or check the accuracy of their gluing by looking at the pages in this text.

This reader complements our fun activity mats for math centers!
