Artemis I is the first of the missions and was launched successfully on November 16th, 2022. This is the first time we are planning moon missions in over fifty years. I hope that your students are just as excited about it as I am! ❤️ I will update it after each mission.
Update: Artemis was scrubbed on August 29th, 2022, due to engine issues or possibly a faulty sensor. It was scheduled for lift-off on September 3rd or September 5th.
2nd Update: The September 3rd mission was scrubbed due to a leak.
3rd Update: The September 27th launch was pushed back due to weather concerns - Hurricane Ivan was heading for Florida.
Yay! Artemis finally had a successful launch on November 16th. The lunar mission lasted 25.5 days and splashed down on December 11th.
Update: Artemis II successfully launched on April 1st, 2026. I went back and did a quick update tonight, but I will continue to update this week as we are witnessing history.
