R- The /R/ Syllable Bird Placemats are not only beautiful, but fun as well. Help your child easily slide from the /r/ to a vowel. These placemats were designed with a child who substituted a /w/ for /r/ (gliding). Even after being able to produce /r/ correctly, that /w/ still crept in before the vowel. Pausing and sliding from the /r/ to the vowel did the trick.
