Description

Articulation: R-initial Position Words Escape Room Boom Deck: Evidenced-based articulation therapy means that a child has to have multiple repetitions of the sound that they are working on. For some children, this can be boring. Make it more exciting by using this escape room which has three different activities for the student to do to get the penguin to his family. It is a Boom Deck meaning it is an online game activity.

Color by code is a progressive coloring project with the student saying the picture and then the next slide has a piece of the picture filled in.

Flashlight search: the student is given a word and then the next page has a picture that the search with the flashlight.

Feed the Animal: the student feeds the walrus a fish and under the fish, there is a r-word.

Please note that the narration is fully automated so that there are fewer steps for the student. The children that I work with need this type of automatic narration so that what they need to select is just the answers.

THIS IS VOICED: No reading required! I found that so many of my students were not always able to read the content, so I have made it, so the student is listening rather than reading.

There are 49 Boom Cards.

These are Boom Cards a fabulous way to step up task cards that are fun, interactive, and self-correcting. I also love them personally during this distance learning time as I can get a quick look at my class and know the last time they attempted a Boom activity. Assigning the cards is very simple.

Families love them as they engage their children and can be done independently.

What do I need to use Boom?

You will need:

- A computer, laptop, tablet, or Chromebook

- An internet browser that is less than 3 years old (OR the free BOOM app)

  • For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards).
  • Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks.
