Description

Our Assigned Roles and Rules for Discussions lesson plan teaches students about roles and rules for good discussions and how to incorporate them into their own discussions. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a group to conduct a discussion related to the topics assigned by the teacher. They follow the assigned roles (if applicable) and the rules for discussions and then critique their own discussion using a checklist. Students are also asked to observe another group’s discussion and critique it using the same checklist they used for their own group.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to follow agreed-upon rules for discussions and carry out assigned roles.
