This is an EDITABLE download for my version of an Assignment Alert!
When students have a zero and you are willing to allow them a chance to change this zero, fill out the assignment alert with the missing papers. This alert gives them a space to tell you WHY it was missing in the first place.
I use carbon paper and keep a binder of the alerts I give for my records. This is good for parent conferences to show parents that an alert was given, but student chose not to turn the paper in.
