Overview: This Choose Your Corner formative assessment activity is designed to help students recognize and identify the characteristics of atomic particles as well as the structure of an atom. It is a great way to review and assess your students’ knowledge of atomic structure. It could be used as a filler activity, exit activity or as an opening activity to review content previously covered. However you use this activity, it is a great way to formatively assess what your students know about atomic particles and structure. This can also be modified to be a simple card sort as well.
