Description
Atoms, Subatomic Particles, Charges, Electron Cloud, Nucleus
In this activity, students will understand what the Atomic Structure of an Element is made up of, by organizing the subatomic particles on an Bohr model for several elements.
Key Points this activity TARGET:
- Protons and Neutrons make up the nucleus of the atom
- Protons are the identifier (aka - Atomic Number)
- Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons (PEN).
- Neutrons are calculated by subtracting the Atomic Number (Protons) from the Atomic Mass (Protons & Neutrons)
This tool can be used as a classroom activity (with use of the PPT instructions) with the worksheet or as an assessment tool (without PPT instructions).
