This is a Powerpoint I use on the first day of our Geometry unit! It includes vocabulary review/ development and opportunities for students to practice using their new vocabulary to describe shapes.

We cover Geometry right as we finish our Science unit on traits of animals, so these slides also connect the concepts of animal traits and shape attributes.

Also included are turn & talk slides and a slide for personal reflection.

I use this as a whole group launch before stations or independent work.
