Description

Auditory processing disorder (APD) is a term that refers to problems in how the brain understands speech. The sounds may be loud and clear. But people with APD don’t pick up on the subtle differences between them.

Looking for fun engaging, auditory memory task cards for your students? These "I went shopping..." task cards will help develop your student’s auditory memory skills by improving their ability to recall information from what they heard. Included in this resource are 13 teacher task cards, 13 student cards (both in black and white), and the shopping food items that the shoppers went shopping for, These task cards target recalling 1 item from memory.

INSTRUCTIONS:
The teacher will read the teacher card (Example: Elizabeth went to the market and bought strawberries.) and the student has to place the food item that the shopper went to the market to buy from memory.

These can be used independently, in small groups, and for one-on-one teaching instruction.

How to assemble this resource:

Print on cardstock for longer-lasting materials, laminate, and cut (the student cards and the teacher cards, the teacher cards can be placed on a book ring for easier access and no loss of or mixing up materials.) I recommend only printing the food items on regular paper. Printing and laminating on cardstock did not adhere properly to the paper as well as I thought it would which led to me taping them before my son could even use them.
