These author's purpose activities and graphic organizers are low prep and are perfect for creating a learning experience for your students. Use these digital and printable author's purpose activities, crafts, posters, anchor charts, worksheets, and more to transform your reading comprehension instruction!
Author's Purpose is one of my favorite comprehension strategies to teach! This packet is great to use with cooperative groups, as independent practice, and during your whole group instruction. The unit wraps up with a fun MINI ROOM TRANSFORMATION and CULMINATING TASK! It can be used with ANY story or passage you have. A list of book suggestions is included. (I do not include passages. This resource was designed to be used mostly with picture books.)
