Description

This BAAM quiz game format is an adaptable and engaging way to review any topic. The game can be played in teams as big as you like. Children choose a number and then answer the revealed question to earn points. There are 'All Plays' where both teams have to answer as well as 'The Thief' where the opposing team can get a chance to steal the points! However, if they land on a BAAM then they lose all of their points! BAAM is a fun game for children (and teachers!) due to the random nature of the BAAMs and points which means that either side can win till the very last question! This means that all children can be involved and can win which adds a high level of excitement. You can choose children to answer to ensure chances of success or have children display their answers on whiteboards to check understanding.

The questions for BAAM Place Value are based on the English National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 Maths. However, the questions are generic and could be used to compliment any work on place value.
