**I would strongly recommend that you teach your students the TACEECEEC Method before teaching them to write an essay.**
- The TACEECEEC Method was inspired by the ACE method; because I am adamant that my students learn to write (like really get it ) teaching them that a paragraph consists of three sentences was difficult. I just couldn’t do it.
So, after answering (what felt like a million times), “just add more information,” to their paragraphs and seeing their looks of confusion and utter frustration, I developed this method to help them understand what goes where. **This method is to create a strong foundation to build upon.**
- I have used this with my 6th graders (modify the method by removing sentences), 7th graders, and 8th graders. The beauty of it is that once the students “get it,” understand it, and demonstrate it regularly, they are able to expand and convert to formulaic nature of the formatting into their own style. The growth I have seen in their writing is astounding.
***This is an EXCELLENT resource to use for Special Education students with 504s and/or IEP accommodations and/or modifications.***
The high school English, Social Studies and Science the teachers at my school have seen a huge difference in the students’ writing and ability to learn with my instilling the skills I teach in my class which includes this writing method.
- I have intentionally left the PPT fairly plain so that you can change it/dress it up without too much work.

***** I like to be an "A" student and am aiming for five stars.*****
