Word Problem Task Cards: What Operations Bundle
Tired of students guessing solutions without thinking about the information in a word problem? This bundle includes 30 word problem task cards that use symbols instead of numbers so that students are forced to figure out the operation instead of guessing how the two numbers might be used. Decide if your students will write just the operation or an expression or equation with the symbols and variables, then play Scoot or a sorting activity.
This bundle includes 20 task cards with word problems that can be solved using two operations and 10 task cards with a table and three word problems that can be solved by using one or more operations. The products include the cover, suggestions for use, Common Core and Virginia SOL alignment, operation sort cards, a student response/answer sheet, an answer key, and a credits/usage page. The answer keys include one possible solution.
