I love implementing Guided Math into my Math Block! However the key to success with Guided Math, is to provide fun content-related centers for the other students who are not meeting with me that day. In addition to, it is important to change centers on a consistent basis so students do not get bored. I created these centers to help with that! These centers focus on multiplication as I am introducing multiplication to my students upon returning from summer vacation! Some of the centers focus on just multiplying by 5's because 5's are so to begin with when first starting multiplication. Although these are intended for math centers, you may also want to use them for your Guided Math groups. I have included a recording sheet and answer document for student self-check or for you to use to check center progress. The centers are easy prep— simply copy, laminate and cut. You can store the centers individually in small baggies and place in a basket at specified centers. Take a peek at the preview for a better idea! The centers that are included are:
1) Missing Factors for 5's Apples
2) Scarecrow Arrays for 5's
3) Multiplication as Repeated Addition
4) Multiplication as Equal Groups
5) Reading and Writing about Multiplication

Thanks! I'm so glad to hear. My students just finished these centers this past week and had a great time! I continue to create more centers to keep my guided math groups going! Check back again soon! Enjoy!
