"Great activity to use to get to know students at the beginning of the year. It also worked great to display on an empty bulletin board before getting into content."

"These were so fun and so different! Students had fun during the first week of school using their name letter to introduce themselves. Great resource!"

Description

First Week Back to School Get to Know You Letters Project Activity

This fun and easy activity is perfect for the first week of school. Students will choose a letter (they can pick ANY letter) and decorate it, following the included prompts. They will also write a paragraph explaining why they chose that particular letter.

This is great not only for students to quickly get to know one another, but YOU the teacher will learn so much about your students and their writing skills. It's an easy-to-grade assignment (I include an optional EDITABLE rubric) and the letters will look great on display in your classroom.

This assignment is appropriate for most grades (upper elementary through high school).

I also include a GOOGLE SLIDES link so you can make it a digital and/or paperless activity.
