Description

Engage your 4th grade students with a fun Back to School Math activity like this one! Your students will feel confident reviewing 3rd grade skills and will have a blast finding out what the silly story is once they've solved the math problems!

This 3rd grade math review resource includes 3 sets of task cards in both print and digital format!

How does this work?

Students will solve the math problems in order to generate a silly story- kind of like a mad lib story! This is a much more fun approach to regular task cards, and the students really enjoy reading the silly stories once they've solved the math problems! They get very excited to see what this month's silly story brings.

Simply post the task cards around the room or place them in a basket for math centers and let the math fun begin. You could even display it on your smartboard/screen and do this activity in a whole group setting as your students show their answers on whiteboards. This is a versatile resource!

Topics covered?

3 Digit Addition and Subtraction - 3rd grade review

Place Value - 3rd grade review

Arrays and Multiplication Facts (2s and 5s) - 3rd grade review

Additional info?

I included both color and black and white versions, as well as, a digital version.
