Description
Bacteria Research Project
In this activity, students will research 1 or more of the 9 given types of bacteria and answer questions about their chosen type. They will state how the bacteria get into the human body, what will they do once there, their symptoms, their location in the human body, their food source, their wastes, can they be good or bad bacteria, and how are the bacteria destroyed or eliminated.
Once the student is finished with their questions they will construct a colored poster of their given bacterium. I suggest using the back of the worksheet which should consist of an illustration, information from their questions, and the labeling of any organelles.
NGSS:
MS-LS1-2.
Develop and use a model to describe the function of a cell as a whole and ways the parts of cells contribute to the function.
HS LS1.A: Structure and Function, Systems of specialized cells with organism help them perform the essential functions of life. All cells contain genetic information in the the form of DNA molecules.
