Simplified Functional & differentiated life skills subtraction problems using priced menus. Students are given a bill amount for how much money they have to make a purchase ($1.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00), then subtract the item they will be purchasing to figure out how much change they get back.

Financial literacy, consumer math facts, morning work, money math, packets, bread

This comes with:

  • 40 worksheets
  • 4 levels
  • 6 problems per page
  • Worksheets with pre-populated prices to subtract
  • Worksheets that coordinate with a few different menus that students will look up the price to and write their own subtraction problem matching the visuals

I find menu math to be an invaluable tool in my life skills classes. It allows me to tailor the content to meet the individual needs of each student. Through this resource, students can identify the prices of various menu items and engage in problem-solving activities that involve comparing prices to determine greater than and less than values.
