This lesson made teaching the concept of balancing equations so much easier for my first graders! The slides are bright, clear, and interactive—students stayed focused the entire time. I love how the visuals help them see that both sides of an equation must be equal, not just “solved.” The examples and practice problems were perfectly leveled for addition to 10, and it tied in beautifully with our number sense unit. A great mix of teaching slides and student engagement—highly recommend for any first grade classroom!
