This is a step-by-step presentations to allow students to explore the basic concept of balancing equations with simple numbers. In this presentation students learn that there can be operations on both sides of the equals mark (3+3=2+1), and sometimes the equation contains a letter in place of a number (3+3=2+N) Students practice as a whole group finding out what N equals.
